Hi everyone, I bought my blade today which is a 2012 but only has 800Km's on it so is barely run in. - Have never owned or ridden a blade before so not too sure whether this behaviour is normal or not. I suspect and hope not. I was riding around some very slow first and second gear 90 degree corners earlier and I noticed that the throttle transition from off to on is very snatchy, almost like there is an on/off switch. Now all reviews I have read praise the precise fuel metering and smooth throttle but this bike is definitely not like that. A bit of background is that I live in Johannesburg which is at high altitude and the bike lived it's whole life at the coast. - Could the computer still be metering for the thicker coastal air and not have adjusted itself yet for the thinner air up here or is there something else wrong? What do you experts recon? - I have to say I was extremely excited when I took delivery but I'm actually pretty bummed now. Thanks for reading, Daniel EDIT TO ADD: Have been doing some research and it seems this is common in fuel injected bikes because the injectors are shut off on closed throttle when revs are below a certain figure. I'm used to carb fed bikes which dont have this issue. So if this behaviour is correct, how is it overcome in a slow corner when you have to transition from no throttle to partial throttle? Also, can the throttle position sensor be adjusted to minimise or eliminate this disabling of the injectors at little throttle openings?
