Question 2008 CBR 1000rr Crankshaft (HELPPPPPPPPPP)

Dear All,
Please I need your help (URGENT)
My bike's crankshaft is totally dead and I asked a lot of dealers concerning 2008 or 2009 crankshaft but they all replied that they don’t have it anymore.
The question is: can I buy 2010 crankshaft and install it in my 2008 engine?

Awaiting your reply as soon as possible.
Thank You for your concern

Different part number. I would try to find used one on ebay and get the journals polished and it reblanced.

It looks like Honda East Toledo has the crank for $647.

08 09 10 11 CBR1000RR CBR 1000RR Crank Crankshaft Shaft | eBay

There is a used used crank from 08 they describe to be in good condition. APE racing takes 265 for Nitride, straighten, and polish the crank. From the factory the counterweights are balanced to about 5 g of each other. If i would have to change the crank i would get it rebalanced. My 954:s cranks counterweights has been balanced to under 1 grams of each other. And for additional 225$ they "knife-edge" it. I wouldn't never buy a new one for 700$-1000$.

Yup. You could also use Falicon for a straightening, polish, etc.

http://www.faliconcranks.com/ They're in Tampa

I not sure how old this post is but I’m in the same boat trying to find either a new crank or have my old one turned balanced so if you know a place that will do it for resonable price let me know , it’s a 2006 cbr 1000
