2008 1000rr or 2003 1100xx?
Hey Guys,
I am new to the forum and looking for a little insight. I bought a 2003 VFR800A 2 years ago and have 6000 miles.
I have a couple of light mods-fender eliminator, 2 Brothers titanium exhaust, and Corbin saddle.
Looking to add a bike, I am torn between a great deal on a new 1000rr and a super clean 1100xx.
Anythoughts or ideas?
I ride w/o a passenger and usually no more than 2-3 hours on backroads with occasional highway. I love the look of the bird, new rr is growing on me, and the appeal of all the new tech plus handling has me leaning to the new bike...
Thanks,
Parrotboy

They are two different styles of bikes. The 1100xx is consider to be a sport cruiser, more suited for highway riding, and long distance comfort, while the new 08 is a sport bike, ready for the track. It depends on what style of riding you are considering. Two very good choices though.

Thanks for the Feedback everyone. I am new here, and the 1100xx gang didn't even bother to reply...
I am really looking to get the 08 cbr as I think the old cbrxx is more like the vfr on steroids, lol...
Now that I reread my own post with the help of red 08's analytical skills, I think the vfr may be hitting ebay too.
When I bought it the hard bags and stock exhaust were in place. I rode it for a while like that, then removed the bags, mounts, fender, and stock pipes. Put on the eliminator and 2 bros. Dropped into the first corner and I was like-wow, is this the same bike?
Still a great bike, but totally unnecessary for my riding habits. I'll keep you posted, I think I can swing a sweet deal as they have 3 at my local shop they are trying to move on ebay...and a couple or 07s.Hope to getunder 11k out the door with 7% NJ Tax included.
The looks of the bike have grown on me, especially the red and silver or silver and black combos.
