Default 2006 fireblade - pillion footpeg removal?

So I'd love to remove pillion footpegs on my 2006 fireblade but the r/h side one holds the heat shield on the exhaust.

Any solutions out there?

Smile Passenger Foot-peg Removal

I `m working on a couple of fabed-up bracket idea`s for my own bike . I don`t need the rear pegs , but want to keep the heat shield intact . I`ll let you know what I come up with . - underdogf427
