2006 and 2007 shopping
I am shopping around Florida for prices on both years, '06 and '07. '06 prices certainly are more attractive. Anything important in the '07 version worth paying more? I've read opinions that they're pretty much the same bike. Hard not to lean toward paying 9k OTD vs. 10k OTD.

Not trying to sell you on something else, but have you ridden the 07 600RR.
I had an 06 1000RR, great bike, but the 600RR is just more fun on the twisty roads I ride.
You owe it to yourself to try different models, and make a decision from there.
As far as I know the only changes were the Black Painted swing arm, and back to Glossy black wheels.

To my knowledge, there were absolutely no changes to the engine or suspension. I would bet money that there will be some big changes in the '08 models, but I would hate to wait another year.
I would definately spend my money on an '06 (which I love!) and use the extra money towards upgrades. Post a pic when you get your bike

I just sat on an 07 yesterday and I looked it over
I have an 06 Red/Black
The only thing I seen, that was different was:
Black Swingarm
Black Lower Fairings
Glossy Black Wheels
And Different Fairings Colors (As for the Red/Black 07 - They just changed the colors of the upper fairing)
I would just get the 06 and save the money & get the swingarm & lowers painted

Ok, thanks everyone. Sounds like little enoguh difference to me =).
How do you all feel about extended warranties? I used to own a 2002 954RR, but never had a problem with it. Bikes are so reliable today. Is it just a waste of money? Didn't buy one then, and I hesitate to now.

I do not think Extended warranties are worth it. Just take care of it, and dont SQUID it out
Put that money to good use on Maintenance items (Oil, Filters, and lots of tires)

I am glad to have the peace of mind that comes with my extended warrenty. You never know what might go wrong and we all know that repairs can quickly become more expensive than we anticipated.
My last 900RR was cursed wih a regulator/rectifier going bad about 1-2 times/year and I have heard about a few problems with the stators in the 1000RR's.
You should be able to talk them down in price on it though. Do a quick search in the forum. Someone stated what the dealer pays for the extnded warrenty plan (it was less than $300)
