Default '07 no pressure at clutch lever

Hey,

My friend just acquired a 2007 cbr 1000 which has a hydraulic clutch. We've been bleeding it for about 20 min and we're not getting any pressure in the lever. I'm not very familiar with hydraulic clutches and am wondering if there is something we're missing.

So essentially, no pressure in the clutch lever, bleeding...bleeding...bleeding... still no pressure.

any advice would be appreciated.

UPDATE: We fixed it.

For future reference, we bled the master cylinder from the banjo bolt and now it works like a charm.

Default A million thanks

Dude, thanks for your solution. I had a similar problem. My clutch started engaging sooner a little at a time and so I decided to change fluid. Having never done it before I was a little iffy but did it anyway. Couldn't be any harder than brakes. But then NO PRESSURE!!!!!
was bleeding from slave and nothing just like you.
So googled and googled and finally stumbled across your thread.
Tried it and BAM!!!! worked. Thanks a bunch.
You probably saved me some cash I wouldn't have needed to spend.

I bought one of those and it didn't work. Just kept sucking fluid and air.
Returned it and got my $33 bucks back.

Have you bled in new fluid?
Might be master & slave cylinder seals are worn.

Also helps to bleed with slave higher than master. That way you're not fighting physics. Bubbles rising faster than you can push them down with bleeding. Easier to have slave higher, then bubbles and fluid moves in same direction.
