Will a set of 2007 cbr 600rr fairings fit a 2007 cbr 1000rr? found an awesome deal but don't know if they'll work

 

I'm sure with modifications they would, but it would probably be way more work that its worth. Even then they would probably end up looking a bit 'off'. Why would you want your bike to look like a 600 anyway? I'd rather get a set of Chinese fairings than modding 600 ones.

 

I wouldn't neccesarily want my bike looking like a 600, more just the ability to change fairings for some track days, plus I just messed up my tank pretty bad and just wanted to do something to make it look good again without having to pay through the roof...the guy only wanted $200 for a black set in perfect condition

Ahh I see, in that case they wouldn't bolt up and be swappable easily enough to be worth it to swap for the track. The tank cover will probably fit right on though but I'm not 100% sure on that.

 

That cheap I would buy them, keep what fits, and make your money back on the rest online

 

yeah the side and lower ones are the only ones that don't fit IIRC

 

I'd say no, inless you know how to do a true one off kind of look I'd say no. If anything try a set of race fairings then just make your own set up for the headlight. I removed my stock fairings on my 07cbr1000rr and replaced them with race fairings and dropped the stock headlights and lost right around 30 pounds which is a lot for the ratio of things. Or your better off hitting up ebay like someone else said, might find a hole set for 500-600 bucks even though there might be a little trimming with it. But good luck
