My 06 won't rev up real high and starts to sputter, when I'm 3/4 to full throttle. I can get it to rev a little higher if I'm only 1/4 throttle. What could be the cause? Bad gas, dirty fuel injectors? fuel pump? I just need a good place to start looking? I have air filters and a slipon exhaust, that's it for the mods. it was real humid the few times i rode it and it happened...thanks Waymod

 

No clue but wow that really sucks... I'd burn it and start over. NO kidding but good luck. Keep us posted if you figure it out. If not send pics of the weenie roast. Ha.

 

I took a lot of the plastic off to make sure all electrical connections were still connected. Everything was fine. I have a feeling it bad gas. Tonight I plan on filling it up, also I plan on putting in some dry gas and maybe even some fuel injection cleaner. Has anyone used these products on a bike? I've have on car/trucks but never on a bike. Waymod

 

need more info really, is this the first tank of gas you have owned the bike for? have you replaced the battery recently? how many miles on the bike? when was your last oil change? when was that tank of gas put into the bike? what octane?

 

If you tilted up your gas tank for anything then check the vent tube under the tank. If it's kinked it will do exactly what you've discribed. It happened to me when I had my tank replaced. Straighted out the kink and it's good as new.

 

I rode it last night and everthing was fine. I did tilt up the tank and make sure nothing was kinked. So maybe that was the problem. Thanks Guys. I'll post some pics later when I figure out how to do it.
