05 1000rr stock suspension setting for track?

Default 05 1000rr stock suspension setting for track?

Hi, guys. Got a track day coming, just wondering some info for the stock suspension setting for the track. I am 85KG.

read lee parks book and set the sag correctly

at almost 190 lbs you will be hard pressed to set the front forks on a 1000RR

you need a 1.0 kg/mm spring and the 05 has .88kgmm springs

if at all possible you need to replace the springs with say ohlin springs
they are cheap and will make the world of difference on the track

you can change them youself if you have a decent manual

the best you can do without replacing the springs is dial in the preload pretty hard and hope for the best
