04/05 stock gearing
What is the stock gearing for the CBR1000RR in the states?? I guess mine is different from those in the states..
My stock gearing is 15f 40r..
And if my stock gearing is different..why is it so??

Yea in Australia 04-05 is 16-40....... 06' 16-42...... I changed mine to 16-42 but soon I gonna try 15-43/44 not sure yet.
As for top speed, I only took my stock 05' to 260 and stopped....only tried once and then I traded to the 06'. But since I got the 06', after gear change and speedo healer(yellow box) I have gotten her to 278klms but ran out of road and she was still going.... Sorry I took so long to answer, just having computer problems...

41 rear was stock on my 05. Have since changed to 42 rear.

I'm already bored with my 15f 45r..thinkin of switchin back to stock gearing and hence my ques..wat really is the stock gearing?!!

As for U going to 16, 40....? I reckon your gonna hate it....15-42/43 I think is a good compromise!

If the US is 16f 40/41r..i think i'm gonna try 16f 42/43r.. wat do ya think??

In Australia original for 05' 16-40.........06' 16-42...... I went for my 06' 15-42 and it was the best thing for it! If you go 16-40 I reckon your gonna hate it unless you love doing 299klm/hr all the time cause even with my 15-42 I have done 287klm and it wasn't redlining yet and I ran out of road so I had to stop!
