Hey guys

How des your cb100f hndle int he wind ? I went to help a friend move today and ther was this side wind , i could not go over 60mph, mots of the timeI had to go at 50 mph, big gusts, as soon as i cold leave the highway for a small road, I took advantage of it.

Any tricks or experiences that you have, have had ?

I have done 60knot winds at 150kph. Its all a matter of constant countersteering and weight positioning, but dont fight it too much.

The pace goes downa lotmore than one would imagine when there is somewind on the side. A bike is very sensitive to side-wind compared to a car. It is no meaning to drive fast in strong wind and even if it could be done to some degree it is quite risky when the wind change direction or strength. It is normally not a problem to meet the speed limits but that’s just about it..

Yeah I prefer to ride when its pouring rain rather than when its windy. The CBR is a fatass bike with a lot of fairing and tends to cop crosswinds more than other sports bikes.

Not much you can do other than slow down, counter steer and adjust your body position. that wind is one of the few time when having a heavy bike is an advantage.

Riding in wind by myself, fine. Put the other half on the back and its hell, not only do you have the wind to contend with but when she's fighting with you on the back, you wonder why you brought them in the first place. All I can say is thank god for mp3 players. lol:)

Never found it to be a problem. The plastic does make a large sail area but I find if I just relax & go with the flow no problem. The shear weight & stability of the bike means that it's not thrown around like some of the smaller lighter bikes.
