Will this Battery Charger/Tender work, or did I screw up?
I have been using this manual charger you can't forget to unhook. One time I forgot it and ended up with a really fat battery (that was a close one).
Anyway, this is CHEAP, so I'm wondering if it is too good to be true.

I'm hooked to a Battery Tender Plus. Little more expensive than what your looking at from Walmart but I have never had any problems over the years with it.

I don't even know what that means! Throw me a bone here people. Is this a set and forget or do I need to take it back (I actually bought two of them, one for each bike.)

I think as much as I am not sure what Pete actally said , I would go with his advice ...
but then ...what the **** would I know .... I just read Pete's posts and take them for Gospel .... LOL

Joe sounds like you have been useing it for a while now. So set up is not the issue. To me sounds like either the charger malfuctioned or the battery.
I have been useing that charger, this will be the 2nd winter for it. I even use it all year. When I come in from riding, the first thing I do is take the seat off and plug her in. I used alot of battery power during the weekends. Trout

Ok, sounds like I have:
Two votes for "I use it, and just leave it on all the time and it works and hasn't ruined my battery yet" and
One vote for "It's a cheap one because it might discharge something or other so get a better one."
To clarify, I haven't used the new one yet. It is still in the box. I made my battery fat with my old tec version, and I end up buying a new battery just about every year because it is too much trouble to use the old tec charger, and I'm probably not doing it right.
