Question Will this Battery Charger/Tender work, or did I screw up?

I have been using this manual charger you can't forget to unhook. One time I forgot it and ended up with a really fat battery (that was a close one).

Anyway, this is CHEAP, so I'm wondering if it is too good to be true.

My CBR is hooked up to that tender right now.....LOL..
Not the greatest, but better than one that won't float.

it'll do just fine Joe @ 1.5 amps it's not going to cook the battery

It's the 10 amp auto chargers that kick the snot out of a bike battery

I'm hooked to a Battery Tender Plus. Little more expensive than what your looking at from Walmart but I have never had any problems over the years with it.

I use an Optimate 3 on the wife's bike - no problem.
Sounds like your unit doesn't have an anti-reverse discharge on it Joe.........
Bin it !

I don't even know what that means! Throw me a bone here people. Is this a set and forget or do I need to take it back (I actually bought two of them, one for each bike.)

Joe sounds like you have been useing it for a while now. So set up is not the issue. To me sounds like either the charger malfuctioned or the battery.

I have been useing that charger, this will be the 2nd winter for it. I even use it all year. When I come in from riding, the first thing I do is take the seat off and plug her in. I used alot of battery power during the weekends. Trout and Sprock

Ok, sounds like I have:

Two votes for "I use it, and just leave it on all the time and it works and hasn't ruined my battery yet" and

One vote for "It's a cheap one because it might discharge something or other so get a better one."

To clarify, I haven't used the new one yet. It is still in the box. I made my battery fat with my old tec version, and I end up buying a new battery just about every year because it is too much trouble to use the old tec charger, and I'm probably not doing it right.
