Where do these carb tubes go?

If you have a sensitive disposition, look away now! Have built a CBR engine into a field racing buggy. Unfortunately I took the engine out of the bike 2 years ago so I can't remember what these pipes on the carbs connected to and can't get engine to start at the minute. Can anyone help? Thanks

I think they're just the drain pipes, so they don't connect to anything.

#1 blue circle is the cooling to the carbs, I believe...

World of Powersports' 1996 Honda Street Bike CBR1000F Parts List.

#2 red is evaporative emission recycle from airbox (I'm guessing).

Hopefully someone can give you definitive answers.

Yup - me too ! :)

Maybe you haven't connected the hose to the vacuum port on the left hand carb - without it you get no fuel to the carbs......................

Thanks for the suggestions. I think 2 is just a breather. Could 1 be the vacuums pipe? Where does the vacuum pipe on bike get low pressure from?

Reds are just vent hoses and typically wrap around the backside of the tank from left
and right

Blue is a breather for the top of the carbs / diaphragms - typically you'd put a little foam
filter on to stop crud working it's way in there

Both vent line should trail the direction of travel for the motor to prevent water and stuff
getting pushed into it.

So is there a bigger pic of the buggy ?
