Hi guys I have just been offered a 88 kane. Its in imaculate condition and has 40,000 miles on the clock and a brand new never been fitted Laser stainless 4 into 1 system with carbon race can. The only thing is it's engine is out and the starter chain needs replacing. It has briaded hoses on and new tyres fitted. It has not seen the road for 3 years, but has been stored in a garage under a bike cover and on a carpet. Any ideas what I should offer the lady for it as her husband died while he was puting the engine back together. the exhaust is still in the box in bubble rapp. whaT DO YOU THINK?

 

40k and the engine was being rebuilt??? Somethings not right there.

Hi guys cheers for the replies yes the engine was ok when taken out as far as she knows. The starter chain wanted chainging so he said before he died, dont know how much that would be. I'm basicly interested in it for parts as mine had a front wheel blow out a few weeks ago and dammaged the handle bar and fairing. In answer to the question about how much the fetch if going. Anywhere between £350 to £1000 but thats why I posed the question. Keep theanswers coming I got a week to make me mind up.
