I think i did the coolest thing to my CBR this winter. i integrated the turn signals into the brake light assembly. on both sides of the brake light you should have running lights. cut the wires that ARE NOT green(all hondas run the green wire as ground). then cut the colored wire for the turn signals. i think one is brown and one is red or something like that. splice that wire to the apropriate side that you already cut. i need to install a 194 bulb in the light socket so the flasher blinks correctly. take a rat tale file or a dremel if you have it and make the light socket hole slightly bigger so the new bulb will fit. and voila you have nice neat tucked away turn signals that work correctly. as for the liscence plate light i used a ligh from a trailer and screwed it to the assembly as well and it works perfectly. just a tip if you do this please include some tipe of connector so the whole thing can be removed if nessecary. good luck.

after getting that fender eliminator kit, would anyone be able to give me comprehensive directions on what i need and how i would go about installing the thing. i havent yet taken the stock fender off, but im completely new to motorcycles. at first glance, it doesnt look like it will fit. but it apparently does, according to people who referred me to it. How do i go about installing it? I would choose buying proper things over extensive modding myself. thanks alot

just out of curiosity why are trying to install a fender eliminator kit if you want proper over modifying? almost anything you purchase to install is going to require some type of modification. this is the fun in the sport. if you dont want to or dont feel comfortable doing this type of work than you should take it to someone who can. as far as the led bulbs go i pesonally havent tried them but i know people who have and they like them a lot, they work like regular bulbs and are brighter and last longer.

i just wanted to thank bigjim44256 for his info. i have been wanting to do that for so long but stopped when the turns didn't fit into the tails sockets [sm=bangbang.gif] i have no earthly idea why i over-looked the wires. with it being so easy and all. anwho, just saying thatnks. also, i took a saw to that ugly *** rear fender and just used some brackets i had laying around the house for my plates. the pics are from a cell phone, so excuse the darkness/dlurriness.

no problem. that looks damn good. i was pleased with how it looked on my bike and i take it your pleased with aswell. did you use the 194 bulbs and make the hole a little bigger or did you find something else that worked? i tried little halogen things and they didnt draw enough or they drew to much amperage because the blinker went fast. anyway glad to see someone else out their who is not afraid of a little work. good job.

i just used the stock bulbs that were already in there. just clipped the wires and sliced them to the turn wires. they do blink a little fast though, so im gonna try to change them out first chance that i get.[sm=thanx.gif]
