what seems to be the avg. lifespan of the CCT/CC
I mean...at what interval are most of you seeing that it needs to be replaced? Im sitting at 18k miles and mine makes just a little bit of noise, but i think the carbs just need to be synced again after me messing with them...didnt make any noise before the carbs.
so how many miles/km between changes for ya'll?

I've not done a chain swap as yet in mine
It was done just before I bought her..
So as far as I know , shes now got nearly 40,000klms (24.000 miles) since it was done......and she has got the rattles at idle pretty good now...
Quiet when running at over 3000 and still quiet when pushed hard!! , but when decelerating at low speed and at idle she gets the on and off rattle thing going pretty regularly..
Even though she still runs smooth and like a bloody express train!! ....I am pulling her off the road this winter if it ever gets here ?? and doing it , the tensioner and a few other things ...

Mine is at her second one at 108000kms, i just change the cct to the bewer model and it ratlles maybe not even 30 seconds when i started, will get the carb sync, I remember i had this conversation with shadow at one point, when i changed from 10w40 to 10w50 it stopped, once i had no choice but had to put 10w40 and the rattle started a bit, now i have 20w50( will change back to 10w50 again motul), i think this has a big impact , as long as when you let the gas off you don,t heart it ratlle it is not so bad but if you hear it rattling when you leave the gas off, then change it right away, that is when it is dangerous that it skips a tooth a two.

Cct
I have never taken the valve cover off my CBR-F. I have only owned it for about 6 months. My bike has 60,000 miles on it. The cam chain rattles a little on start up, but it should do that. The CCT is hydraulic in nature. It has an oil chamber (that bleeds down) that is "pumped up" with oil pressure. So, once the oil pressure gets the CCT oil chamber full, the tensioner quiets down the chain by taking up the slack in the chain (kind of like an EMHO huh CBRclassic!). The CCT is kind of like hydraulic lifters/tappets. They can be noisy on start up, but once the oil pressure builds and the lifter is "pumped up", the lifter clearance disappears and quiets down.
I would think that if one's CBR oil pump is weak, it would take a longer time to pump up the CCT. Thicker oil will take longer to pump up the CCT. Cold weather and cold oil will make the CCT take longer to pump up.
My question to all of you that have had these bikes for a long time is, "Does the cam chain regularly jump off the cam shaft sprockets?"
The Kawasaki KZ1300s had a CCT problem (**** pour designed CCT is basically a baring on a shaft where the baring cocked sideways to lock the tensioner forward, without pressure the baring would return - back out!) where the CCT backed off and the chain came off the cam sprockets - engine lunch time! This was fixed by putting a ZX-11 CCT or ZZR1100 CCT for all the rest of the world, ratcheting type CCT on the KZ1300s.
So, do these bikes have a problem with the chain coming off or is it just a Hydraulic "lash" time problem? Noisy....
P.S. Does the bleed hole get dirty and clog causing a situtation where the CCT will not pump up?

For what you guys say, and what I read before on the forum, I figure it should last around 50-70k (km).
As far as mine goes, just turned 50.000km, unmolested engine other than valve adjustements, chain is a bit noisy when cold around 2-3k rpm but goes away when fully warmed up and doesn't comes back until next cold start.
