pull the tank ....clean it and the petcock ..........go again ........ crap
in the bottom of the tank...........drained the carbs ...she's all good now
Ready for Montreal !!!!

After an Oil, Filter & Plug change last week she was polished, then on sunday i fitted a Rentec rack.
The rack was off a 91 model & mines a 93. I had to put a few washers under the rack to keep the seat lock off the side pannel, so now theres a bit of a gap along the side of the seat. Im not sure if i was there before just hidden behind the origonal grab rail.
Anyway had my first ride out this year, up Teesdale for an hour or two

Finished the quick refurb of the rear end! All clean and shiney.... + rear caliper stripped, cleaned and put back together with OEM pads!
Just got to re-route the throttle cables (done wrong by previous owner) and sort the rapidly flashing indicators with a new flasher unit .... and re-fit the new mirrors and wire in the built in indicators (found some new bolts that should make it simple to bolt them on!)
Then just an oil/filter change and some new plugs, and she'll be ready for the MOT test!
Happy days! WoooHooo!
(Did you guess? It's been quiet at work today? lol )

Ol misty is lookin sweet there horsepower, I just finished putting on a new lower cowl, and protectors on the left side, I found a lot of gravel under the bracket mount so I would say the previous owner lost her on the loose stuff I had to do a bit of persuading to staighten a couple of brackets to get the new bits to fit. I also replaced the tank hinge pin, it had just a normal bolt done up that tight the flanges were squeezed together! She had not been started for a week so I replaced #3 cyl spark plug and she started OK but died shortly after just as I was about to go for a spin. Could not find anything wrong all plugs were sparking so I spat the dummy and went and chopped down a tree in the back yard, good strss reliever! I then had a look around all the work I had done to see if anything was out of place and noticed a small hose which looked as if it should have been attatched to the fuel tap! I suppose this is the vacuum hose because it is now going fine again, It feels good to have a win every now and again.
