SeaFoam works miracles. It is an additive that can be added to fuel, oil or vacuum lines. it is basically a petro-based cleaner. I have used it for years. works great, very recommended by many mechanics. I had an older ford truck with a sticky lifter. used seafoam through a few oil changes.. and magic!

I've used it but be careful not to use too much and DO NOT put in your crankcase or you WILL ruin your clutch plates!!!!!!

Just use it in your fuel a bit at time .Too much and it will smoke like a son of a *****..................

I was just thinking on how it would be bad for a wet clutch..

Not sure my Friend, although the Mechanic at my workplace recommended it simply because he works on all of the Owners Vintage Cars, & Motorcycles.

Appears to solve his problems otherwise he wouldn't use it. He did tell me to make sure I mix it according to the Direction/Instructions.

The last 2 fillups I'm getting about 32-34 mpg
thats about 7.1L/100k, thats about right

I have found the fuel gauge can change how it reads on a couple of occasions, usally after a service of something. (I have a troll living under my fairing, playing with my wires)

What octane gas are you using? In the US, use only 87 octane (regular unleaded). Higher octane results in less power and lower mileage. Our bikes don't need high octane.

DOH!...I just filled up with high octane to see if that would help. Oh well...live and learn. I did figure out one thing that changed when my mileage did and that was where I bought the gas. One station 2 fillups 42+ mpg. Different station 2 fillups 33- mpg. Going to try a different station next fillup along with the carb sync and other routine maint.

You recommend 87 octane? I have always run 93. What octane do the rest of you guys use?
