Question What does a stock 1000F show on the Dyno?

I've have searched for this info, and the numbers are either vague as to crank vs rear wheel or they are all over the board. The most popular horsepower spec seems to be 132 and 135, which I presume is at the crank (and I understand there may have been a couple of minor inprovements over the run). Then I see other guys saying 105 to 115 at the rear wheel.

Anyone know of any solid rear wheel numbers for horsepower and torque?

Remember that dyno numbers aren't comparable unless you're using the same dyno. On a Dynojet inertia style dyno (this is what most shops have) you'll see between 115-119 or so probably. I won't go into the whole Dynojet v. others dyno thing, but if you measure actual hp (not adjusted-for-inertial mass dj numbers) the CBR1000F's are probably right around 100-103hp imo. Mine is 106.5 on a no-fudge-factor dyno, with a pipe and jet work.

Anyway, the important point is that for comparison purposes, you need to have the same dyno and operator. To say that one bike is x hp on one dyne, then another person say their bike is y hp on another is completely without meaning.

From bristish and american magazines i read arund 133hp at the rear wheel, 132 to 13hp at the crank, but i prefer looking at the torque figures, which is still in the ballpark...

Makes sense and thanks for the info. I didn't think that 119hp was the top dog of horse power. I am taking the dyno test as the engine is still running strong.
