What To Do

I still have some problems with the Engine
Alternator Chain Rattle, Oil leak that may need the casing split to fix & my clutch slips on max power.
I also have a problem with missing on high revs, but I got that to carburetion or Inlet boots.

There is an Engine in Sydney I can get for $1200, no warranty from a Bike Wreakers, but engine apparently runs well 97'.

Should I or Shouldn’t I?

RE: What To Do

3 Questions:

1 What would repairing your present engine cost you - Parts and labour ?
2 Can you remove old engine , do the repairs and refit yourself ?
3 What sort of mileage does the new egine have ?

What if new engine is as bad as old one, or worse ? With no guarantee, it's hard to tell.
Your present engine's a known quantity, but the "new" one........?
You'll also have to use your old carbs and probably a few other bits....

Look at cost of repair vs cost of replacement, plus labour, and do the maths.....
Not much help I know, but best I can do.....
