Smile VF1000 bars fitted

After fitting my new Krauser luggage i wanted a better ( more upright) riding position.I made some 10mm spacers that rotated the stock bars 20 degrees forward to flatten them out a bit to help my wrists with town riding.Still was not happy so took the bars off of one of my 86' VF1000's.What a difference that has made, perfect for me now.About 30mm taller and the bike is all day comfy,I cant stop riding it.These bars are as high as high as you can go with stock cables etc.I will take a pic tomorrow and post it up.

I'd like to see a picture of the VF1000. They are extremely rare around here. The R model was beautiful and I believe it had gear-driven cams.

What year is your CBR1000f? Any problems hitting fairing on full lock?

Hmmm I'd like to see too (Pics) as I had vfr bars and ditched them and went with
DanMoto 3D bars in the end (not without their own issues I might add ! ) but were
a LOT more comfortable for me.

This is a common mod on the CBR1100XX's too. I put a set on my XX.

In any event higher bars to not work well in an 88 as the windshield fairing is much
lower imo

Mine is a 96 FT model.Bars get close to the fairing but dont touch.Could really do with 10mm longer throttle cables as they go tight on full lock. Not touched it since last year as been playing with a CB900F engined Morgan esque three wheeler kit car.
