Yeah, i've got pack rack & sports rack fittings.

I mounted a sanremo top box to my ventura sports rack fitting & i use for my work commute as keeps things dry in the wet + it's lockable. The ventura pack rack option is great for touring when using a large pack & also good for pillion access getting on & off.

I'd love to have the hard luggage panniers, they look absolutley stunning on our CBR's but they cost a fortune !.

The ventura option is cheap & practical. Although there are some really good soft luggage options these days.

My bike had a ventura rack and tail bag when I bought it used. The bag looked like it was about 20 years old but I still use it. I like having the ability to have the tailbag on the pillion seat most of the time but still having the option of easily mounting it back behind the seat in case I need the pillion seat free for a passenger or other luggage.

Default rack

What I really want to do is either install a Givi trunk with the backrest or use the soft pack as one.

I see the Givi has a universal mount so I am hoping it will work.

Well all I can say is DIY if you are any good with a welder

The Givi universal mount will pretty much attach to anything
Very easy to make it do it.

I have a 34L Givi on my Ventura rack. You need the sports rack option or the lid won't open. It works really well, although I wish I had purchased a larger Givi now.

Thumbs up

Yep I've got the Venture touring rack fitted & the touring bags that slip on (and on my other bikes too). Bloody brilliant. I use the touring bag everyday on it for carting the daily crap around and for work as my main bag. Just unclip it, slide off, take out the shoulder straps and away like a back pack. When Touring I can zip the touring bags together and slip on and off as required and can carry about 25kgs of equipment when loaded to the gunnels.

When out with the boys, I just undo the rack and slip out. Had mine for a couple of years now, still waterproof and all zips still work. Best things I've put my various bikes for the sheer usability, so yeah, highly recommend them. Cheers, Andy
