Default The unthinkable has happened

First I want to beg forgiveness for all but abandoning my dear friends in this forum. I have been lurking but not being a good participant.

Now the tragedy,

I had decided to sell my old girl or possibly trade her for a (GASP!!!) cruiser and had actually made a deal to trade her for another bike when the unthinkable happened.

She fell over on the trailer en-route to the deal exchange breaking part of the front cowl and cracking the side panel along with demolishing the radiator cap cover.

So.....now I am faced with a dilemma, do I part her out or see if anyone is interested in buying her at a deeply discounted price.

Ideas? Comments? Interest?

It was no coincidence that she took a dive. It was all she could do to keep from being sold.

Now you gotta keep her.

Those panels aren't too hard to find - it is one of the most common colours for the Mk2.
Demon's correct - can't sell her now...........

Try Bikebandit or a local bike shop close to you.
How about these ?
Honda cbr 1000f body panels | eBay

Fit all the new panels and part out your old set - plenty of guys will buy them - there are at least 4 members I know who have that colour scheme.....

Man, what a godamn damngod. Your heart must have sunk into the bowels of the earth when that happened.
But look, see what happens when you pin your woes on this forum, a knight in shining armour comes to your rescue and bitch slaps you for even thinking about getting rid of your CBR.
It's a tough choice though; to sell or not to sell. that is the question.... To repair and sell or take a big hit on your price..... choices choices.... what does your gut say?
I think Shadow is on the money. Buy some panels, do the repair then sell whatever you've got left over with the bike. A selection of spares with a second hand bike always up the ante. I don't suppose that will be anything to regret.

Hope you've got over the bad vibe though. I'd have nightmares about something like that for weeks...

It's a sign. Keep that bike!

Just remember, if you part it out, it'll take a while to sell everything. EBay charges an arm and a leg now as well...

Thanks for the replied and good advice on locating parts - I will try bike bandit - or if any members have parts available please get in touch with me.

But alas keeping her is not an option. The Spouse and I decided that my lad bike should be my best bike - this one - so away she goes one way or another
