Default Tyre repair kits

I've had a look at a few tyre repair kits for use "on the road"... apparently the screw in rubber plugs are old school, now there's a new type that may need the hole in the tyre made larger for them to work... it still comes with a gaugeable regassing co2 cylinder and stuff.

The kit I am looking at getting is AU$42... any links or recommendations on any kits anyone has experience with would be appreciated.

If you don't have a tyre repair kit with you when you are more than 50km from your favourite bike shop... I am telling you now... you will regret it!

Hi,

If you have only a small hole for example nail or glass you need only one aerosol bottle and thats it. It is easy and quickly to use. For example:

It gives you also pressure as much as you need to drive on.

Only warning: it can blow up in very high temperature.

So is this stuff a temp fix to get home, or a more permanent solution

they'd all have to be temp fixes to get you home and take the tyre off to fit a patch if the tyre isn't worn out enough to buy a new one.

Yes you are right. And it is easier to drive a car with broken tire than a bike Aerosol makes the tire inside quite dirty. So usually the old tire is easier to clean and change with new one. But still you have driven home by yourself.
