Dual compound Michelin Pilot Road 2's (PR2) or 3's ? I love em.

Great If you do a lot of highway riding with commute in mind, they really last the distance. 18,000 km from a PR2 rear is not uncommon !.

Everybody on here has their favourite tyres. Mine's the Michelin PR2 as well and next I'll try the PR3. I've ridden in very heavy storm rain and felt rock solid. Dry grip is good and they wear well too...can't ask for more imo.

Hi there - been a while since I posted, but I I'd thought I'd chip in here.

My local guys recommended I try Maxxis. He had them on offer, though I understand they're generally priced quite competitively.

I'd had metzlers before and they'd been very dependable so I was hoping that at least things wouldn't get worse. In fact I've been blown away by how much better they are. They've made the bike much easier to wield around at mid to high speeds. I find I'm able to comfortably and confidently put the bike much further over, and exiting corners is much more precise and predictable.

In a couple of weeks I'm taking the bike to the South of France, so it'll be interesting to see if they square off on the autoroutes... So far this hasn't been a problem. Will report back if they do...!

Thanks for the input guys. I have been searching online as well. I am trying to keep the cost under $250. I have seen online some Pirelli Diablos's, Shinko Raven's(surprisingly good reviews), and Metzler M3's,Metzler road tech's, Continental Conti Motion, Bridgestone Battle axes, anyone used these? Also can I fit a 180/55/ZR17 rear on my 94?

If were just going for opinion then, I ride on Michelin Pilot Powers (not the 2ct).

Good life, and I've never had an issue with performance.

On my previous bike I had bridge stone battle axes, they seemed like really good tires, but I never pushed them hard enough to know their limits.

I have ridden two bikes withe the Shinko Ravens on them, and they were terrible (not as bad as the previous Shinkos, but still terrible). If you're shooting for economy, the Maxxis tiresa are good, and you migght also try the Continental offering (I forget which one the S/T tire is...ROad Attack I think). Both solid budget choices.
