You will love the Aprilia, however you will miss the Honda.

Having sold my Blackbird once I discovered the v-twin throb of a Mille R, I’ve been down that path.

I suspect there will come a day when you will miss the bulletproof reliability of Honda. While I currently have the best of many worlds in my stable, I tend to ride my Hondas more often.

Just a newbies opinion.

It’s difficult leaving a forum, I remember selling my Ducati and saying goodbye, I felt very disloyal.

But, things change and it’s good to try lots of different bikes and I’d still love a Ducati 748R in my garage!

Well stated! I keep the 1kF around but ride the Stratoliner as the main ride. I am working on a cafe project (I like a smaller ride for local TR's).

If they didn't stop making the Falco, I would have been on the Aprilia and that I think would have been my only ride. I still can't figure out why they stopped production on a multi task bike like that. As soon as I test rode one and fell in love you couldn't get one.

In this forum we don't poo poo anyone that rides, all are welcome here. It's a brotherhood of riders. It's what make this forum different and stronger than others.

Thank all,

I must admit I have certainly been on this forum a lot more than I do the Aprilia one but you guys have always been helpful and fun to talk to.

I do miss the Honda and wish I was able to keep both but SWMBO (and has over 200 pairs of shoes) didn’t want me having both in the garage she even said I wouldn’t use the Honda because I loved it so much and I think she was right.

Giving it to my brother in law means it will be well looked after, ridden regularly and I will be able to take it out when I want.

Hamlin, as for working on the rig, I used to be the medic out there but after being a medic from the age of 16 I decided to change to the Radio operator job. Much difference in what I do but the responsibility is about the same in my opinion. As a medic it’s every now and then your expertise is required as Radio op it’s every day and yes it is a big adventure from leaving shore to arriving back 3 weeks later. The weather play a huge part in the job.

I will pop back here from time to time guys, you’re all awesome people and your help has been amazing.

Take care all and be safe.

Hi Chippy, I'm late comer to this forum, but just cos you got an Aprilla doesn't mean you can't ask questions , there is the OTHER BIKE section and the Aprilla is your other bike, I for one would be glad to answer any questions about your bike, and if I don't know I will find out ,guess that's what the brotherhood is all about
