Sunshine magically banishes DOT4 bubbles?
I'm not buying any of this...interested in other opinions or experiences here:
1.) '93 1000F has nasty brown fluid; taken to stealership for full re-bleed. Don't notice anythign amiss riding home. Pads & rotors look good.
2.) Bike mostly sits in the garage for 4 months (sad, I know)
3.) Read to go for a ride - front brake is complete mush, rear is mediocre; no sign of fluid leaks around primary/secondary master cyclinders, PCV, calipers or bleeders.
4.) Take back to stealership from #1 - drove 45 the whole way and just used the rear brake.
5.) Stealership calls and asserts that "letting the bike sit in the sun for a while seems to have resolved the problem".
I call B.S. Without opening a bleeder, do they expect me to believe that a completely mushy LBS setup went from unusable to fine by sitting in the sunlight for a couple hrs?? Really??? Is this remotely plausible?
Thanks~!

i would go in and see how it feels and if they are still mushy call b.s. and tell them to bleed them and that you wont pay cent. Where about do you live because if there is a harbor freight near you go buy a air bleeder and learn to do it yourself. I did my a couple nights ago and they are almost perfect( need to rebuild the rear caliper)

DCBS linked brakes ......... they obviously don't know the specific routine required to
bleed them ! Do you ?
If not here's the relevant thread with TimBucTwo's post on bleeding sequence near the end
And good luck with it they are a pain in the neck
