Stick coils for the CBR1000F?
Hey Knowledgable ones.
Is it possible - or has anyone fitted stick coils to the CBR1000f. Did a quick search on the forum and only came up with something for the 600.
I fitted a set to my Kawasaki GTR1000 about 50,000 km ago and swear by them - see Stick coils - A "how to" for the GTR1000 in 1000GTR Technical Discussions Forum
Just wondering, as I'd like to do the same for the Honda if possible.
Cheers, SB

Hey:
Yes, get them from any year CBR1000RR the newer the better. They work just fine and give a little better starting. only issue was I had to make some bigger coil seals on the top or could have just cut up the old ones to work. I have had them awhile (5yrs) on my hotrod LSR CBR. No issues and cheaper than a set of reg coils if doing some good shopping on ebay.

From my perspective and experience having fitted them to the Kawasaki GTR1000...............................not a thing!
Only positives - better starting, better spark delivery, some say a mild increase in power (probably through better, more consistent spark)
