Starting issues, again!

One other test you can do on the R/R is easy. When you put the bike away for the night, disconnect one of the battery cables from the battery and measure the battery voltage and write it down. Let it sit over night. In the morning re-check the battery voltage with cables disconnected and write it down.
The next night, check the battery voltage and write it down. This time, leave the cables hooked up. In the morning re-check battery voltage and write it down.
If the voltage drops the first night, you have a faulty battery.
If the voltages drops the second night, the R/R needs to be replaced. I'd replace it just because the factory ones are crap, but hey!

the battery better not be bad! It is brand new, but it is still a good test! I am thinking about replacing the R/R just because but I want to see if there is anything else that needs replacing first. If I had the money I would replace everything but since I don't I need to replace the bad stuff first then go with what I can when I can.
