Default Starting Help??????

Hi folks,

I've got a 90 1000F that has served me great for years. Bike only has 12,500 on it. It was running great earlier this year. On Sunday I started the bike, road over to meet some friends and turned it off as we waited for some others to arrive. When it was time to go, the starter just kept turning over with no fire. It was like having the on/off switch in the off position. I tried choking it and nothing. I sent the others on and went home to get some tools. When I came back, the bike started right up. The next day, bike started right up. I rode to the store, came out and same thing. Starter turns and no fire. I opened the gas cap, bike started right up. Must be "vapor lock" right? This morning I went to get on the bike, it does the same thing cold. Opened the gas cap. Doesn't start, just turns over. Okay, I ned help with direction for diagnosis. 1) I know to check pet-**** vent hose. 2) Bad, On/Off switch? Then what. Any ideas would be very much appreciated. Thanks

My kill switch gave me problems years ago and I haven't used it since. Try not using it and see if the problem goes away.
