Must be all that Aussie sunshine keeping it shiny!

I always think there's something special about a mint condition older bike, more unique than a new bike IMHO.

I agree, an older mint condition bike is really something else. They are so rare that finding one is more to do with luck than anything else. My '87 was near mint when I stumbled upon too. Thye are like a time casule and makes you appreciate how nice they really were when then were new.

I can't imagine why one of these bikes (or any bike), could be purchased and rarely taken out of the garage. I bought my 93 last year, it had been through two owners and only had 4700 miles. With the exception of a a couple of minor scuffs -probably from trying get a lawnmower around it-it is spotless. It did not appear to have had a nut turned and even had the original tires. Fresh oil and a set of Bidgestones-been enjoying every since.

I would like to see a 92. There was no 92 model sold in the US. Was it changed like the 93 model, or more like the 90-91 models?

Same as the 89-91's. New model came out in 93 with dual brakes and the different tail and indicators.

If it was around the Mornington area of Melbourne, you might be talking about my new bike. CBR1000FX, red, just over 10,000 kms and immaculate. It was in the shop for a roadworthy as I had just purchased it from a VERY FUSSY previous owner.
