Default speedometer/ sprocket size?

I can’t find any info on what size sprockets this bike is suppose to have from the factory could someone point me in the right direction? I can not figure out why my speedometer is off. And believe it has to be sprocket size.

thanks

What year ?

Stock on Mk2 & Mk 3 89 -> 1996 (99 EU) was 17/42

Stock on MK1 87,88 was 17 / 43

But where a MK1 (87/88) has it's speedo driven directly from the
front wheel , it would not matter what sprockets you have on it.

So guess we must be talking Mk2 or Mk3 ! or a modified MK1

1993 the plastic drive gear is great condition. when i am doing 70 ish mph. it reads 125 ish probably i am thinking its probably a problem in the insterment cluster.

too small a front and too large a rear sprocket in my opinion

Somebody may have set is up as a wheelie machine.

Speedo's usually work or are intermittent working or just plain don't work

Never seen 'em read wrong at the meter - but there's always a first for
everything
