Default Speedometer Inop

Sometime between my ride on Sunday afternoon, and yesterday my speedo decided to not function. Was sure it was working when parked, But... So after doing a search on this site, and following the great instructionsIchecked the nylon coupler @ the countershaft. That is in great condition , so now I'm thinking the speedo cable has broken. I have placed a small blade screw driver in the end and it does not turn very freely. How do I remove the guage cluster to remove the cable ?? I did a search ,but evidently not using the correct terminology producing no results. Would really appreciate some direction. 1990 CBR1000F.
Thank You

Thank You for the quick reply, and info. Is it necessary to remove the whole guage cluster to remove the cable,or once the cluster is accessble is it possible to detach from the cluster. Really dislike taking apart more than needed , creates more opportunities to goof.....
Thank You

Guage Cluster is single item. Read the manual - See page 17 - 7 - as I said for correct proceedure. However her is a picture of location of cable in the cluster..

As suspected the cable was sheared . Removed both pieces, and was able to confirm no problem@ the speedo head, so its just a matter of replacing with a new cable. Evidently had been neglected because it certainly didn't turn freely in the cable housing. Thank You for the help.

Hey HiFlyer, we should hook up sometime and ride together. You're not too far north of me.
