i've had my 1996 at 180 my mate has a RSV MILLIE R he was right behind me and his digital clock was reading 176 i think the only way to find out for sure is to put a satnave on the bike that shows your speed and 180 was to fast anyway dam scary

Nope no drugs honest Steve, just a very fast way off speedo. Gotta be at least 10 To 12mph off I guess. lol! But it certainly pulls strong for an old cow. Gets my attention every time. Btw did u hear my old blue flamer('88 cbr1000) is up for sale? Like I told Pete been thinking hard about buying it back. I can get it back for proly about $1000 to $1200. Gonna kick it around in my head for a bit. Barely have time to ride my '91 as it is now. We'll see. Well I'm off to make the doughnuts running behind a tad later Steve & sorry for my absence. I'll try to be a lil more updating on here. Take care & have a good one mate!

Just talked about this on the weekend. My son and I took a ride together Sunday. We gassed up, zeroed trip, and went out for the afternoon. When we got home I had gone 174 miles and he had 167. I have stock gearing on my '94 with 170/60/17 rear. Gps on another trip said 108mph when I indicated 115. I consistantly see 4mph high on the speedo when I pass the "watch your speed roadside radar" stations at 40mph.
