Default Sparkplug wires

I did a search and did not find this question. Does anyone know if there are aftermarket alternitives for the factory plug wires? Or even better can they be rebuilt? with new wires. $23 a wireis EXPENSIVE!!!!!
Thanks

Try ht leads. Have'nt seen any myself but would say that they are hard to replace as they are sealed to the rubber sleeve that go over the plugs. What is wrong with your old leads?

Just 20 years old. Still runs a little rough after rebuilding the carbs and adjusting valves. Wish I had that write-up that just showed up on the forum, then. lol The back tire is dry rotted to the point that it won't hold air, I will sync the carbs after I get a chance to ride it to warm it up. I don't think I will know how it runs till I get a chance to "blow it out a little"
Long story short I don't know they are bad, I just assumed it couldn't hurt. This is my 1st bike in a long time. I have been working/riding on it for a year or so. Both arefun, waiting for the money for the tire. then look out.
I am a novice at Motorcycle engines, so forgiveany stupid questions. They all get answered, eventually. I am just glad I got a CBR. I cannot tell you how much help I have gotten from this site. You all should be greatfull for the search feature. Ha ha Boy the questions!!!

Anyhow, thanks for all the help.

The trouble you get with leads is the insulation breaks down and you dont get the full "energy" of the coil reaching the plug. Take your leads to an auto electrician. They can test the leads using a "megger" this is a device to test insulation breakdown.
