Wrong assumption as it's not what Pulstar plugs are about it's only because
the Pulstar plug only comes in the hotter DPR7ea-9 equivalent is why I'm
asking about the use of hotter plugs, if Pulstar had a DPR9EA-9 direct
equivalent ..... I wouldn't be asking the question and already have a set
in there trying them out :)

A hotter plug obviously won't yield performance gains and as you rightly
say, "can" cause pre-detonation or hole a piston etc

Question really was ..... has anyone run hotter plugs in the Hurricane ?

Sounds like nobody has so I'll probably skip the idea for now

I have Iridiums in both bikes and each set only cost twenty bucks :)
Good Plug too :D

Incredible 20 bucks for a set when you think that all dinosaurs died for us to get iridium!

The only time I needed to run a hotter plug was in the kid's CR80. Stock was an NGK 9 heat range. Always fouled. Switched to an 8 and never had another problem with the plug. We ran across other young racers with the same problem with the little CR. I would give them a slightly used plug and they would be good to go for the day.
