Slipping clutch on my 88...
hows it going i am new to the forums. ive had a 1988 hurricane for about 3 years and it has 50k miles on it. the clutch suddenly started slipping badly yesterday (happens to be after i lent it to someone for 3 days hmmm)
the questions i need answered are:
1. what needs to be replaced
2. where can i find said parts
3. how difficult of a job will this be
4. if it is difficult how much should a shop charge for it?
thanks in advance.

I have the same problem.
1. Clutch plates (and possibly harder springs).
2. Some bike-parts catalogue or dealer.
3. Not difficult.
4. DIY job. Should not cost much since it takes no time.
Look in thread https://cbrforum.com/m_266491/tm.htm for an excelent description (with pictures) how to do it.

Plenty of places on and off the internet should sell Barnett or EBC Fibre Plates & Springs. Price is only slightly dearer than stock.
Unless they have been seriously abused the standard steel backing plates that are in there should be fine. Gasket should be in stock at any Honda Dealer.
