seeking other 87 CBR 1000 owners
I am not a new rider but new to CBR's. I have an 87 1000 Hurricane that i am finishing up. It was very well kept until the owners son high sided it. I have never seen the thing completely assembled and so I am just a couple of tabs short of having it all back like new. I would like to find other owners to help. I also have an 88 NT650 and 66 CB77. One day when I grow up I will own a modern bike but for now the old stuff is just fine plus the Hurricane is pretty darn fast anyway. I need a picture and or part numbers for the two tabs that are at the ends of the cowling that surrounds the instrument cluster. It looks like there might have been a tab on the side fairings that bolted to the side of the frame. On the parts diagram there is not a tab to be seen. When I ordered what I thought they were it turned out to be the tabs that bolted to the sides of the frame further down the frame rail and they secure the side panels. I have also found that the radiators for these things are very expensive. I bought two used ones and they leaked so I am considering a new one if I sell something valuable to pay for it.
