Secret ninja place to find fairings?
Is there some secret ninja place to find fairings for the 87 hurricane 1000?! Just looking around and being curious... I was trying to compare the cost of repairing my current pieces to the cost of purchasing new.
New are like rocking horse doodoo. You can buy new aftermarket but they are wickedly expensive.
Have a look at Sprock's "barn find" - I put up a load of all types of places to find fairings for your bike and others.
Hope this helps.

Thanks bro! I have some fiberglass work to do on my front windscreen fairing if I can't find a new one. The turn signal area is broken off... Hahaha some people evidently hated this bike... But it's loved now! Haha
Hey:
It would be cheaper to purchase another used bike than to buy either new factory fairings if you could find them or new aftermarket fairings when availible. You are looking at a grand a side cheapest new. Also repairs, fiberglass does not tend to hold up long term, much better to use a JB weld for minor repairs, and plastic welding, carbon fiber, or epoxy for larger stuff as this has been my experience doing this for a long time. I converted my 88 to the 93-2000 type body work as it was easier to find, it is just a lot of fitting & refitting to do this and get right and tight the 1st time. Some drilling, and bracket fabrication with bracket relocation is required to do this.
That 88 CBR1000F on CL in IL was a good buy if purchased at the right price do to this, If you want this type of body style. Good Luck

Worse thing is he'll probably get it from someone that really needs one as they are far and few to be found used.
