RE: Seat recover UK - Obscure request for a link
Thanks for the link mate.
I drove over to Tonys' workshop this morning (An hour each way) originally I was going to get a workmate to drop it off for me as he lives near there, but he was busy today and I decided I would like to check the place out and have a chat about what I wanted.
So glad I did - Tony is a genuinely nice guy - real old school with a workshop to match - you wont find nice showrooms and reception desk lol and that always makes me feel more comfy.
We had a chat about what I wanted and hopefully I will be able to pick it up next week (I cant believe I am so excited about it, it's like being a kid at Christmas) I also had a look at some of the work he had around the place (Dont think he noticed lol) and I just KNOW I am gonna be happy - proper craftsman with no BS.
I wont go into details about what I asked for - but will be sticking pics up next week (He did ask me to ring first and check it was ready before setting off as he works alone and is always backed up.
I asked him if he is happy to deal with overseas (Just in case people here are interested) and he regularly sends seat around the world so it's not a prob

Sounds real good Harry
My old girl had the original Blue seat on her when I got her..
I wanted a plain black one so I took the gamble too ...Some of these guys that do upholstery do tend to take a bit of poetic license when re covering , but the good ones like it sounds that you found , are bloody great craftsman that listen to their clients ....
Mine came back beautiful and looked dead stock .."but Black"
how much was his quote mate ?

Hey that is one wicked Bug ... nice one
Hastings ....? kool ..
I have noticed the last few months that my *** is getting weaker or something and after only 200 klms I am starting to suffer a bit ..[X(]
I may just get mine re done again over winter with some softer filling I think
Or get a new *** ? which may cost a bit too much though mate [:-]

Here ya go
Well as promised here are the pics
Sorry about quality - I left my camera at work on Friday and had to use my phone, I will take better ones during the week
Cant really tell in these pics but the piping is a dark grey - just to highlight it a little and will also tie in with next winters colour change
Overall - extremely happy with this - bett pics will show just how good the workmanship is
