RPM under choke

Good day all

I recently adjusted my idle screw, it idles at 1000rpm exactly, but now when I am starting it under choke the motor will turn 1750ish and won't go faster, I was wondering if something happened, before it could reach 2000-2500 under choke, mind you I prefer 1750 it is less stress on the engine on startup.

At what rpm is your engine running under choke?

about 2000 Carl - used to be more but since I adjusted the carbs it has dropped.
:)

Dead cold , full choke mine runs for the first minute or so at starting at around 1500 building to 2000 , but as she warms up it goes up and if I don't back he choke of as she warms she will run up to around the 3000 .....

Some times I will go put my helmet on while shes warming and I have come out to find her running real high :icon_doh: .... I do try to avoid that most of the time ...
