Road Worthy Done
Yesterday (28.01.2010) went down and had the bike put through it's paces for a roadworthy.
The roadworthy is the first step to getting the bike registered and legally allowed to ride on Victorian roads.
She passed flying colours, the tester was a bit concerned with the noise level, but passed her anyway.
I will head to Registration office (Vic Roads) this week, so all going well within 7 days i will be riding her full time.
It has taken from May 2009
Roadworthy = $70.00 and took 45 minutes

Good to hear it, Johnno!
Concerned about the noise level, eh? That's kinda funny.
So they won't give you tags unless she passes all that stuff? Over here, you can get the registration/tags as long as you have insurance. Then you have to get the "inspection" done, but you get fined if you get caught without it.
Anyway, glad you're gettin' there. You'll be rippin' in no time...

Works like this,
Took bike in a trailer down to a Yamaha dealer who also does these tests, off the trailer into the work shop.
Brakes tested, as well as rotor thickness
Tyres, drive train, all lights, horn.
Exhaust leaks, rust and noise level. ( i nearly failed the noise test )
steering and suspension to make sure all is well in that department.
All this took 45 minutes and $70.00AUD.
Every time a vechile is bought or sold in Victoria you require a roadworthy certificate.
Next step registration next week, for this i need a roadworthy certificate, which i now have. As well as engine number and VIN number cross check.
The registration lets me legally ride on Victorian roads
