I am a long time Honda enthusiast and have always wanted one of these. With 4 other motorcycles in my garage, I definitely didn't need it. But, it came up in my local penny saver. Original owner with 26,000 miles. I rode it home and it runs and rides like a brand new motorcycle. Unfortunately, the original owner removed the front, back and side decals. And, as you all know, those decals are not available anywhere I have looked. It seems like they make reproduction decals for every other Honda made other than this one! Does anybody have a source for these decals? Or, does anybody have broken fairings with the decals on them that I can take to a local vinyl shop to have reproductions made?
There is a chinese company on ebay selling full fairing kits with decals already installed on the new fairings. Contact him and he can probably send you any decals you want.
Sorry for taking so long to update. Work has been crazy this winter. I ended up getting decals from a member here. He made them with his own vinyl machine at home. Without having the original decals for templates, he had to guess on the size. They came out very well for what he had to work with. I am still in the market for exact OEM size and color decals if they ever become available. I would like to eventually get the exact Colorite paint and have the 2 side panels with 1000 on them repainted. There is minor damage to both from tip overs in the past. Other than that, the bike is perfect. I am still shocked that there is not one company that makes exact duplicate decals for this bike. A few of the places I contacted seemed surprised I would want to restore one of these! Anyway, this is the final result for now.
