Default Removing the alternator help.

Hi folks.

Trying to remove the alternator and I have removed the three 12mm bolts from the housing, but I can only pull it away about 10mm. Its not budging at all. Even tried to put it back in and won't allow me to do that either. I'm at a loss. I am only attacking it from the side of the motor, and have not removed carbs airbox etc to have a look from on top. I guess thats my next step.

Has anyone got any advice, as my alternator is shot and needs to be removed to be repaired/replaced.

Have a good read of the following thread and all links..........

It's all in the wrist action.

You have removed the starter and undone the bolt to the end of the alternator shaft haven't you?

Cheers, SB
