Rear caliper 88 and fan

Rear caliper 88 and fan
Quick questions,
is the 87/88 rear caliper on the hurricane 600 the same as the the one my 88 Hurricane 1000?
I don't think my fan is working, is that a huge issue? Can anyone tell me where to find the fuse for it, I can't find it in the manual I downloaded.
Thank you very much! I have learned a lot from this forum.

RE: Rear caliper 88 and fan
Not sure about the brake question, but the fan is fed from fuse 'F' directly to one side of the fan motor (when the ignition is on). I works by grounding the other side when the heat rises. I would get the fan working, you never know when you are going to end up stuck in slow moving traffic.

Chris,
Mine are under the top left panel, It actually says "Fuse" on the fairing, not sure if yours does.
Here's a couple of photos.
