Default Rear brakes

Question number 5 of 500000000000000... Haha I used the Honda manual found on the forum for the 1000f and while working on my rear brakes today I realized that the manual says that it's a 3 piston caliper and I have a 2 piston caliper. Is that manual for 90 and up or do I have the wrong rear brakes?!

The shop manual is for, I think, 93 and later. Download the Haynes manual, it covers all years. https://skydrive.live.com/?cid=f661f...4A8CD45E%21102

Paco is on the Ball ! indeed DCBS as in linked brakes have 3 piston Calipers.

The 87/88 & 89 through 91 are two only

^ Yes and the 3 piston calipers have many different size pistons in them. I can't remember but I think the front left has 3 sizes it it alone.

If anyone plans on removing pistons from calipers, I would suggest placing them down and marking them so that you can get them back in the proper hole.
