Second Problem

This is a new one.

Shifting from 1st to 2nd. If I dont shift hard enough it will slip into nutral. I cant always get it to go into 2nd so I'll slow down and then it goes into gear just fine. This really only haoppens when I'm really rolling on the throtel. All other gars are fine but 2nd is really being a pain.

Any ideas?

Thanks for the help once again...

Maybe tighten up your linkage to the gearbox - may be loose.
Rattling could be valves need adjustment.........?

Hows the clutch on your Cane? If the clutch is not disengaging all the way you will notice it the most between the lower gears.

Ratteling could be CCT or valves as Shadow said.

And why does this forum suck so bad for posting all of a sudden????

Rattling if intermittent is likely the CCT. What year is your bike? The CC could also be stretched close to the limit making it tough for the CCT to keep all the slack out. Might be time renew both. +1 on Shadow's advice to make sure your shifter linkage is properly adjusted and +1 on Gill's advice to check out the clutch.

CCT is not adjustable, P bbq
Linkage to box is behind the small foot panel, left lower side of the bike, on the gearshift lever.
