Default question for harry t hampster

did you test your cdi before you replaced it? if so what did your oms meter read? thanks

No I am afraid not - I had given up - hadnt occured to me at that stage that it could have been CDI - I took it to a bike shop.

cyl 2/3 werent firing reliably - but they swapped the coils over and the prob remained with 2/3

The garage had been recomended to me so when they said it had to be the CDI Iaccepted it and bought one myself of ebay - after plugging it in and giving it a good run to burn off the cobwebs she was back in full working order

Basically I bought Coils / ht leads new plugs and cleaned my carbs 3 times (I think - lost count lol) without needing too - infact the CDI only cost a few ££ more then what I paid for the carb cleaner
