Typical symptom of float needles stuck or not sealing correctly.

Did you set the float heights when you had them stripped down ?

Unfortunately - sounds like needles or seats are shot and need changing.

There are two breather tubes - 1&2 are linked, 3&4 are linked.

Try and see which tube the fuel is coming from - that will boil it down to one of two carbs.

The only way I know to check each float needle is to blow in to the fuel inlet and push lightly on the float - you should hear/feel the one that is leaking.

It's coming out the tubes that come out of the bottom of the bowls right? Did you try tightening the drain screws? If float needle was leaking, fuel would be leaking up past needles and into motor. Does motor run fine? Try tightening those drains. If that doesn't do it, you may need Orings for the screws.

You blow down the FUEL INLET hoses to test the float seals.

The breather/overflow pipes are open to atmosphere all the time.

cbr900racer77 has a point - and I am curious too as to why the fuel is only leaking when the bike is running.

Are there any other symptoms of this leak ? - Engine runs rough etc ?
