Yeah, I thought the part was shipping from San Diego, but it ended up shipping from Indiana so it came in a day and a half. You know it takes about 15 minutes to install. Once installed, I checked and saw the voltage going to the battery was where it should be. I rode over to my parents again....about 15 miles or so. Ate there (why not?) and then rode home. Started right up, cranking over fast like it should. Rode home without incident or issue, then started it in the garage a few times and it all seems good. I would think that if the battery weren't charging, an hour of riding on the battery would at least knock the battery down to where it would turn over slowly. I did notice that happening a bit, but didn't really pay attention as much as I should have, right before it did the whole "click, click, click" business. Hopefully it's fixed for good. Now I think I begin my search for a stator since it seems like that's the one part that can take these bikes out of commission and they seem near impossible to find.
